Latest Music Vid Done - What's next...

So you'll notice that I uploaded another "Intermission Bits 3" video.  These clips were taken from my Superman 64 video...you'll also notice that the audio from this video was out of sync toward the end.  Reason for this is that the Superman 64 video was made in Premiere CS3 as opposed to CS6 that I have now...and I used completely different settings back then.  When I imported it to CS6, it didn't like the changes and gave me a hell of a time to export it again.

I also created another music video.  The song is NeoNature, created by nervous_testpilot from OCRemix.  There were a lot of Deus Ex remixes I could find but I liked this one the most.  At first I thought I'd take this more in a serious direction and do a commemorative sort of video...but then I had a hard time finding good quality walk through footage so I eventually gave up with being serious and made it a joke toward the end.  Either way, gives you all perspectives of the game...the good, the bad and the humorous aspects.  Great game, should pick it up on Steam if you haven't played it.  Certainly worth playing through once, even if it is dated.

I'm going to take a break from Music Videos for now (though I have a ton more I want to make, in time).  I'm now working on the Valkyria Chronicles review (playing the game through AGAIN since I didn't capture any footage the first time around) and at the same time I'm going to work on "Video Game Deaths - The Sequel".  I'd say "Part 2" but I think I broke up the original "Video Game Deaths" into multiple parts...so I'll just say "The Sequel" instead.

I'm going to make the Valkyria review in a different style...going to script some of it and adlib the rest, as per usual.  I'm actually going to show ME in the video as well but mostly game footage.  I may have to cheat a little...just so I can go through the 2nd playthrough faster.  Yes, I've already researched cheats because that's the type of gamer I am (when it comes to single player anyway).  Sorry, I can't help it! It's a disease!  Must cheat if I know I can...but don't worry (Byron) I swear I didn't cheat the first play through.

Sorry I keep going back and forth with what videos I plan on making next.  It's hard to decide.  But now I think I'm set FOR SURE on Valkyria and Video Game Deaths.  So stay tuned.  Here is a happy picture for the holiday.  Oh yeah - Happy Holidays all!

Still Making Videos...

I'm almost done this Deus Ex music video I'm working on...sorry it's taking so long.  I just had to download all the freakin footage from around the web.  I could get it myself but that would mean playing the entire game over again which will only delay the video further.  It's funny, I wanted to do this hoping it would be quick and easy so you guys weren't waiting 500 years to see more videos...but these things never work out for me...EVERYTHING takes 500 years to make these days.

Anyway, it's almost done and then next I'm either working on the Phobe review or Valkyria Chronicles review.  I know I keep changing my mind on what to do next but I'm going to try and stick to my guns this time.

Hey System Shock 2 is on sale for a buck ($1.08) on Steam for anyone that actually reads my blog...and likes that game.  Good times.

Anyway that's it for now.  Here is a pic of on old man.

Update and New Videos

Okay so...as previously mentioned, I took down my latest "Jeff's Work" videos altogether...too many people at work found out about them (only took them 10 years) so I had no choice but to remove them in order to avoid being fired.  I'm not even hosting them privately.

What's even funnier is that I noticed a bunch of co-workers suddenly joined my subscription list tonight LOL I wonder why.

Anyhoo, I was going to make another "Worst Games" episode of Godzilla 2 but I'm going to postpone that for now.  Instead I'm going to work on a top 10 (sort of) list of my favorite game remixes (MP3's).  So I'll have the game playing in the background while the remix plays.

Here is the list I have going so far (the game names, anyway):

1. Deus Ex (PC)
2. Super Metroid (SNES)
3. Bionic Commando (NES)
4. Sonic the Hedgehog (various games) (GENESIS)
5. Shadowgate (NES)
6. Megaman 2 (NES)
7. Stunt Race FX (SNES....just one song)
8. Top Gear (SNES)
9. Final Fantasy IV and VI (SNES)
10. Gradius 3 (SNES)

That's it for now, but the list will grow in the future.  Just figure I'd do something different and these won't take that long to do, really.  Just got to rake in all the info about each song, who composed them, where to find the songs, give the remixers credit, that sort of stuff.

But alas, I'm disheartened that I must discontinue the Jeff's Work series yet again...until I get fired...which I hope isn't soon because I got no place else to go.

Removed Altogether

Sorry guys, for those that actually cared about them, I removed my latest Jeff's Work videos entirely.  I can't risk losing my job over stupid videos...at first I figured nobody but ONE person that worked with me would ever see them but the news is spreading so I can't afford to keep them up, not even privately.

In the event I stop working here one day then I'll be sure to repost them but until then, they're gone.  Funny as they were, I'm sure some wouldn't appreciate them.

I'll just stick to working on Video Game videos for now...I'm going to skip the Final Fantasy Tactics video again and making another Worst Games Episode - Godzilla 2.

Possible Delay

Due to some unforeseen circumstances, the latest Jeff's Work video may be delayed.  It would appear that there are specific individuals who are watching my videos that I tend to poke fun at an extensive amount.   Because of this, I'm forced to edit the video to remove these parts...or tone it down a bit.

It's possible they'll find it amusing (who doesn't poke fun at themselves here and there) but considering that I work with these people, I don't want to chance pissing them off.  There are some people in the video that I don't care about pissing off (as you can tell)...anyway, don't be surprised if these specific videos go private some day.

This is the very reason I stopped making Jeff's work videos because of fear of being fired.  I only then posted them when I stopped working at said place but even then I had to remove specific names and what not.

Soooo I'll edit it tonight and hopefully still upload tonight but that depends on how long exporting takes...usually a couple hours.

I may upload the unedited version but only share with a specific few. Once this video is done, I'll get to work on the Final Fantasy Tactics video only because I  like to mix it up a bit and I've been wanting to do this one for awhile.

Stay tuned...here is a picture of realistic looking Sonic...

OMG It has been 4 years...

I can't believe it has been 4 years since my last post...what a joke.

It's hard for me to stick to a routine like this...making videos, updating my blog, all the while spending time with family and working, etc.  I get so little time to focus on this stuff that whenever I do find time, I often spend it playing a game or something.

Anyhoo, I'm going to TRY and keep up with this from now on...so far, I've been doing well keeping up with my Youtube site.  I've been slowly progressing at it but at least I'm progressing lol.

Right now I'm just working on another Jeff's Work episode since they're easier and faster to produce....though demand for these episodes is very little.  It's nearly done and should be uploaded probably even tonight.

Otherwise, I have so many other ideas lined up:

1. Final Fantasy Tactics Editing Tool review*
2. Video Game Deaths - The Sequel
3. Worst Games Ever - Godzilla 2
4. NES Top 10 - #6 - TMNT II
5. Lester and Soapman - Continuation**

*This is a tool that somebody had made back in the day for the Playstation Dex Drive...what you would do is upload your PSX memory card to your PC using the Dex Drive and then use this tool to edit the saved file contents for Final Fantasy Tactics.  It was a great idea (never completed) but anyway I'll get into that later

**continuation of the "Another World & Out of this World - Deaths and then some..." video

That's all I got for now.  Stay tuned.  Until then, here is a picture of the Ultimate Warrior.

New Videos and long overdue posts...

Wow, sorry everybody, I can't remember the last time I sat down and posted anything here. Lately, I've been able to post two different videos via Youtube:

GTA IV - Collage of Havoc

and

Worst Games Ever - Attack Animal Gakuen

The GTA (Grand Theft Auto) IV video is pretty much just gameplay footage between myself and my friend Joe (plus some other random people) goofing around. Joe had found some sort of hack or cheat that allows you to alter pretty much anything in the game like invincibility, any weapon you'd like, any vehicle, gravity alterations, etc. I was utilized the in game video recorder/editor. I threw together all the best bits into one big collage.

I had also used Fraps just to see what worked better...and to be honest, the in game recorder did, once you figured out how to use it correctly. It's pretty impressive, the default key to use the in game recorder is F2 and I figured the way it worked is that it would simply record the last few minutes of whatever you were doing but it doesn't work that way. Apparently, it starts recording from when you spawned and stops when you press stop...however, if you press stop AFTER you die and respawn, then it records only from when you respawned. To give you an idea of what I mean, say you spent 10 minutes doing stunts and in the end you die, if you don't press record before you respawn, then the game records absolutely nothing of what you were doing those last 10 minutes, you have to press record right as you die or while you're dying. I couldn't tell you how annoyed I was when I discovered this, I lost so much good footage because of this.

Fraps worked fine but the quality was dumbed down, it was a little choppy and for some reason I can never get Fraps to record the audio...it's always mute even though I select the proper audio channels...makes no sense.

The GTA IV in game editor is pretty good too, it's not too elaborate but it doesn't need to be. Most of the footage you see in the video was done with the in game editor. The whole video was compiled in Adobe Premiere Pro CS3 though, I also put all the music and sound effects together via Premiere.

For those wondering, my in game name is NeoBahamut000 though I haven't played the game since making this video...just got bored of it but I'll still play from time to time.

As for the "Worst Games Ever" episode, I'm frequently being ranted at to bring out more episodes and really, I can't blame anybody. It takes months at a time now before I post anything since, again, I have no time. I like to put a lot of effort into my videos (ex. animations) so that can take a lot of time. I mean, a lot of the sprites you see me using to make the animations with I have to make myself, which means, taking screenshots, frame by frame, and then reanimating them...stuff like that takes forever, it's not hard just tedious. Some people suggested just bringing out standard, basic videos like I was originally doing when I first created the series (ex. the Transformers episode), they find it just as funny. It's not that they don't appreciate the hard work I put into the newer ones but they seem to want quantity rather than quality. So I figure, I'll bring them out more often but expect more dumbed downed basic episodes for awhile then.

This Japanese game "Attack Animal Gakuen" was just a random pick, to be honest. Yes, there are a lot worse games than this one but I couldn't help but laugh at the whole concept of this game, so I just picked it for the heck of it. I didn't do a voice over because it's not easy for me anymore...my daughter is always curious of what I'm doing (or she's sleeping) so by being angry, yelling or ranting (even though I'm acting...sort of) while making the audio review, she observes me and wonders what's going on. I honestly don't want her getting the wrong idea or even get into the bad habit of playing video games like I had done MY WHOLE LIFE. So what I do is wait for her to fall asleep...which is worse because then I can't make noise at all or she'll wake up. See my dilemma? So expect text only commentary for awhile.

I do get a lot of fan requests for games but they're always games that have been reviewed to death by every reviewer known to man kind. I like to pick the more obscure games that nobody has ever heard of, I figure that's more entertaining. But due to popular demand, the next game I will be reviewing is Superman 64.

Anyway, that's it for now. I have a lot of projects in mind but nothing started yet. If you get bored waiting for me to bring out something, then I suggest the following well known reviewers:

The Spoony Experiment
Angry Video Game Nerd
The Escapist - Zero Punctuation

There are more but the 3 above are my favorites. Oh and here is a picture of a Protoss from Starcraft II for no reason...latest favorite game...which I suck at. Maybe I'll do a review of this really quick...not a bad one.
